For our web shop, ModeVoorMuren, we like to correctly inform our customers about their rights, especially the right of withdrawal in distance purchases.

What does the right of withdrawal mean?

When you make a purchase through our webshop, you are acting within the rules of a distance contract. This means that, as a consumer, you have the right to cancel your purchase within a certain period of time, without giving any reason.

This right of withdrawal applies to all purchases made through our webshop, because the sale takes place without you as a consumer and us as the seller being physically present. The rules are laid down in Book VI of the Code of Economic Law.

Your rights

With every purchase made through Modevoormuren, you are entitled to a withdrawal period of 14 calendar days. Within this period you can decide to abandon your purchase. This applies to both products and services, unless specific exceptions apply. 

How does the right of withdrawal work?

1. Deadline: You have 14 calendar days, from the day you receive the product, to let us know that you want to revoke the purchase.

2. Form: You may use our standard withdrawal form, but you may also notify us in writing by other means (e.g., e-mail).

3. Refund: Upon revocation, we will refund the full purchase price within 14 days of receiving your notification and returning the product. This will be done in the same way you paid with.

4. Return Costs: The cost of returning the product will be borne by the customer, unless otherwise agreed.

5. Exceptions: There are situations in which you do not have the right of withdrawal, for example in the case of customized products made especially for you. With us, this is the case for paints that are colored in a specific color for you.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to all purchases. For example, for products that are custom-made or that can spoil quickly. In such cases, we will always state this clearly on the product page.
